George and Retha Stringer

Hello and thank you for looking at my wild horse blog.

Just a little bit about me: I am 63 years young and I have always been interested in horses, but lived in the big city, worked 2 jobs, and thought I didn’t have the time to pursue my dream.

Now that I no longer have to get up and go to a boring job, I want to pursue that dream.  My wife loves horses and has always wanted one.  We finally decided to get out of the big city and purchased 11 acres east of Okla City, OK.

The land has a couple of small gulleys that I need to fill in and level the back 9 acres.  We want to build about a 1 or 1 1/2 acre pond, and fence the entire acreage with a woven wire fence, so we can adopt 2 wild mustangs and work with them.

Long term dream: If everything works out like we would want, I would like to be able to adopt from 2 to 4 mustangs a year and gentle and train them.  Then I would like to find people that love horses and would give them the love and care they deserve.

My wife and I love to give children and youth the chance to learn and enjoy the things they might not get to do otherwise.  Retha has always had a passion of teaching children, so when we purchased the acreage, she wanted to be able to use it for her children’s ministry.  She has had a children’s church camp on it for 3 years.

Now I would like to add the chance for children and youth that don’t have the space to raise a horse, but have a love for horses, to come out and see horses.  If the parents give permission, they could pet and ride them.

Our prayers are that God will bless and make a way for our dreams to be fulfilled. May God bless every horse lover that reads this.

The most important thing is not fulfilling your dreams, but getting your life right with God.

Your Dreams will be fulfilled later.

Thanks again
See you in Church Sunday
